[0:00] Black screen; at 0:03, white text appears: "Entry #69"
[0:10] Opens to a lightly wooded area near a highway.
[0:18] Tim: Sure you don’t want anything?
[0:20] Jay: Huh?
[0:21] Camera turns away from the highway towards Tim, who is walking back with a bottle of water in hand. He holds the bottle up towards Jay. Jay moves the camera back and forth between Tim and the highway for the entire conversation.
[0:22] Tim: Sure you don’t want anything?
[0:23] Jay: Oh, I’m fine. We’re almost there anyway.
[0:28] Tim: How much further we got?
[0:30] Jay: Uh, I don’t know. Maybe 30 minutes, tops.
[0:38] Tim: I still kinda feel like we’re running away from something important.
[0:41] Jay: I mean, we should have come out here at some point anyway. Might as well do it while we know Alex is somewhere else, right?
[0:48] Tim: What if Jessica’s still there? Isn’t she kinda the reason you’re still doing this in the first place?
[0:54] Jay: Yeah but what good would it do her if Alex found us first?
[0:58] Tim: Well, we were doing pretty good at avoiding him. We just, I don’t know, needed some more time or a better strategy or something.
[1:10] Jay: It felt to me like he was one step behind us. I don’t think our luck could have lasted forever. Do you?
[1:15] Tim reaches into his pocket and pulls out a bottle of pills.
[1:19] Tim: No. I guess we can always go back if we need to.
[1:23] Jay: Yeah.
[1:25] Jay turns the camera back to Tim as he is taking one of his pills. Jay zooms in on the bottle.
[1:29] Jay: Those still helping?
[1:31] Tim: Yep. Taking one every few hours, just to be safe.
[1:37] Jay: Is that how many you’re supposed to take?
[1:39] Tim: For now.
[1:43] Jay: Alright. I guess I’ve just been kinda paranoid after, you know, seeing what happened with them before.
[1:49] Tim: No, it won’t happen again. Just trust me. Ready to go?
[2:04] Jay: Yeah, if you are.
[2:06] Tim: It’s either that or hang out here.
[2:11] Jay: So tired of driving.
[2:13] Tim: Yeah, that makes two of us.
[2:14] They both start walking back towards their cars just before the screen goes to black.
[2:28] Shot of driving down a highway. White text appears: “After a few days of driving, Tim and I arrived back in the area where we used to live. The same area where Alex originally gave me the raw footage from Marble Hornets.”
[2:56] More white text appears over shots of Tim and Jay visiting various places where Marble Hornets had been shot. “We’ve spent most of the time here backtracking through the locations that we remember how to get to, and looking for anything that could help us. We didn’t find anything until a few days ago, while looking in the local park that Alex used as his ‘set’ for Marble Hornets.”
[3:31] Tim and Jay are walking through the woods near the red tower. Tim stumbles into a hole in the ground and nearly falls.
[3:40] Tim: Whoa!
[3:43] Jay: I forgot there are holes everywhere out here.
[3:45] Tim: Nice timing.
[3:48] Jay is looking off to one side, moving his head like he’s trying to see between the trees.
[3:49] Tim: What is it?
[3:51] Jay: Oh, I just thought I saw something. You okay?
[3:52] Tim points the camera towards the area that Jay had been looking.
[3:54] Tim: Yeah, I’m fine. What did you see?
[3:57] Jay: I thought I saw something moving over there for a second but it was nothing.
[4:01] Tim: Are you positive? I mean, nowadays, even just thinking we saw something is enough to be worried.
[4:06] Jay: I know but I, it was just a bird flying between the trees.
[4:07] Tim scans the trees again with the camera.
[4:12] Jay: Come on.
[4:16] Tim: If you say so.
[4:20] They continue walking through the woods. There are a few audio distortions as they continue on.
[4:35] Tim and Jay arrive at the red tower.
[4:44] Tim: This is where you found that tape, right?
[4:47] Jay: Yup.
[4:51] Tim: Where was it exactly? It was inside, wasn’t it?
[4:55] Jay: Yeah, it was up the ladder in here.
[4:58] Tim: That’s right.
[5:02] They enter the red tower. Tim points the camera up towards where the tape had been found.
[5:05] Jay: See that little ledge up there on the right? It was sitting right on top of that.
[5:08] Tim: Alright, well, hold this.
[5:09] Tim hands Jay the camera and starts climbing the ladder.
[5:13] Tim: I came out all this way, might as well check. Maybe we missed something.
[5:18] Jay: Alright, well, be careful because the last time I was out here I slipped off.
[5:22] Tim: I’ll be alright.
[5:28] As Tim finishes climbing the ladder, Jay turns to look outside of the tower and then back to Tim.
[5:29] Tim: Well, this last rung is broken but I don’t see anything up here.
[5:35] Jay: Yeah, I didn’t think there would be.
[5:36] Jay turns around to face outside of the tower again. There’s a slight audio distortion as Tim say “I don’t know what I expected to find.” Jay ducks back into the tower.
[5:40] Tim: What is it?
[5:41] Jay: Shhh!
[5:44] Tim: (whisper) What is it?
[5:45] Jay: (whisper) Come back down.
[5:46] Tim climbs back down the ladder and crouches down to look out of the tower.
[5:53] Jay: (whisper) There’s someone out there.
[5:55] Tim: (whisper) You think somebody followed us? How could anybody know we’re out here?
[5:58] Jay: (whisper) I don’t know. I just looked outside and there’s just a person sitting there staring at me.
[6:02] Tim: (whisper) Where?
[6:04] Jay: (whisper) Right outside.
[6:06] Tim: There’s nobody there now.
[6:07] Tim stands up and walks outside of the tower, glancing left and right. Jay follows him out.
[6:12] Tim: I don’t see anybody.
[6:16] Jay: They were right there.
[6:17] Jay points at a spot out in the trees and begins walking out into the woods.
[6:21] Tim: Well, if they were here, they aren’t anymore.
[6:23] Jay runs deeper into the woods.
[6:26] Jay: Well, no, but they were just here!
[6:33] Tim: Did you point the camera at them at all?
[6:38] Jay: Yeah, I think so.
[6:40] Tim: Here, rewind it, let’s check.
[6:42] Jay: Oh, here.
[6:44] Screen goes to black.
[6:47] Video restarts with Tim and Jay walking through the woods.
[6:51] Jay: I’m positive there was someone standing outside while you were up there. I just didn’t point the camera at them like I thought I did. Must have been, like, off to the side of the frame or something.
[6:59] Tim: That’s why we’re leaving right now. We should have left the first time you said you saw something.
[7:04] Jay: Sorry.
[7:05] Tim: You’re fine. Let’s just go.
[7:07] Jay continues to look left and right as they continue out of the woods. There’s some mild audio distortion as Jay steps into a hole and falls on his back.
[7:16] Tim: You okay? You alright?
[7:20] Jay: Yeah.
[7:21] Tim help pull Jay up to his feet. Jay points the camera down at the hole he fell into.
[7:22] Tim: You okay to walk?
[7:24] Jay: Gimme a second. Those holes…
[7:27] Tim: Yeah, watch out for those holes. Man, you got lucky, this one’s deep.
[7:32] Tim starts digging through the leaves filling the lower half of the hole as Jay straightens up and brushes himself off. Jay looks around and turns back to Tim just as he pulls a lump of black plastic out of the hole.
[7:41] Jay: What’s that?
[7:43] Tim hands the lump to Jay and goes back to digging in the hole.
[7:47] Jay: Is that a tape?
[7:49] Tim: Sure as hell looks like it. There’s more.
[7:53] Tim pulls more burnt tapes out of the hole and lays them to the side. Jay picks one up to examine it.
[7:55] Jay: They’re all melted.
[7:57] Tim: Didn’t Alex say he was gonna burn those Marble Hornets tapes before he gave them to you?
[8:01] Jay: Yeah, but I got them from him before he did that.
[8:04] Tim: Are you sure you got all of them?
[8:05] Jay: Well, no, but…
[8:07] Tim: Well, what if these are his?
[8:10] Jay: Go, uh, check the other holes around here. See if there’s any more. I’ll keep looking through this one.
[8:13] Tim: Okay.
[8:14] Jay continues digging through the leaves as Tim heads off to search the other holes. He pulls out a few more tapes in varying shape, some completely melted and some hardly touched.
[8:23] Tim: Nothing in this one. Any more holes anywhere?
[8:28] Jay: Not that I can see. I think this one might still play. The case is melted but I don’t think the tape itself is.
[8:30] Jay shows Tim one of the less damaged tapes and picks up another mostly undamaged tape.
[8:36] Tim: Seriously?
[8:37] Jay: Yeah, same for this one.
[8:38] Tim: Let me see.
[8:40] Jay hands the tapes to Tim and digs around in the hole one last time, finding one last damaged tape.
[8:44] Tim: Let’s just take them all with us. Better safe than sorry.
[8:47] Jay: Yeah.
[8:50] They gather up all the tapes and begin walking out of the woods again.
[8:54] Tim: Let’s go.
[8:56] Jay looks down into the hole one last time and then behind him before heading after Tim.
[8:58] Tim: You okay?
[9:00] Jay: Yeah, I’m good, let’s go.
[9:02] They continue walking until the screen goes black at 9:14.
Main Theories and Observations
- The person Jay sees is not recorded on camera, but the audio distortion indicates that someone or something was there.
- The tapes may contain footage of the filming of Marble Hornets.
Further Speculation
- The hole where they find the tapes may have been the same one seen in Entry #21.
