At night, Alex is walking through an empty playground. He walks past a yellow toy truck and a pair of see-saws (both leaning in the same direction), then notices the swings are swinging. Turning back around, Alex runs back toward the see-saws only to notice one of them has been pushed down. He flips the camera around, catches a glimpse of the Operator, and begins to chase him through the playground with no apparent success.

Main Theories and Observations

  • Alex's odd behavior — wandering around a playground at night with a video camera, chasing after the figure he sees — suggest that this tape happens early in the chronology, but later than the Entries where Alex seems oblivious of what The Operator is, or can do.
  • While the Operator is on camera, it appears to move in the same style and at about the same speed as a human, but then is very rapidly gone when the camera loses sight of it.

Further Speculation

Alex seems to be actively seeking out the Slenderman at this point. ~Morscata12
Maybe the see-saws in the same direction are a early indicator of tothearks' love for using //

  • Jay seems to think that Alex has removed the audio himself. This could be seen as suspicious; maybe Alex is talking to the Operator here. Maybe the Operator is talking back? The location seems random also and I'm not sure that Alex would just go to a playground and start looking for this entity that he doesn't know anything about. Does anyone else think this could actually be a meeting place given to Alex by the Operator? ~Enquirer

Based on what we see of Alex in the later Entries, that is very possible. ~Keyblade96

Based on what I have seen? definitely could be. I agree with your theory Equirer. ~pau_explains
